Aaahh... Coming back to the roots... Obviously, this section talks briefly about the previous happenings of this web site. Miko Reznor narrates...

This site goes farther back than you might think. I really don't want to bother with the details. It all seems inconsequential now. Well, I suppose it would be appropriate to talk a little bit about the history of this site.

Actually, WAR is a fusion of my three discontinued web sites, Miko's Anime Web Backgrounds, Just Like You Imagined, and Looking Through A Girl In Gaea (note that these sites are closed so don't bother clicking the links). That's right folks! Some of the files here are only hand-me-downs from my sites that I was too lazy to update.

My laziness resulted to this place. I still want to update those sites, only problem is, I didn't want to update all three. So, I combined everything they offered into this one big site I proudly call [WAR] WebMasters' Anime Resource.

That ends the recounting of the good old days. Now, come and see the many faces of WAR...

v1. Identifiable
Duration: March 10, 2002 - April 13, 2002

The layout that launched this site... What can I say? It sort of looks like the identification cards of the WARLocks so I entitled it that way. *Laughs* During that time, I didn't know what SSI was. I used JavaScript includes instead. Looking at it now, it reminds me of my ignorance and I just laugh at myself. I have been making web sites for quite some time. Where the hell have I been?!? *Laughs*
In my defense, I was able to make the SSI version of this site just after its launch.

v2. Picture Perfect
Duration: April 14, 2002 - September 20, 2002

I just love grayscale, don't you? This layout features the men of the major anime sections of WAR. It hurts me to part with this layout but I have to move on since I have been bored with it lately.

v3. Bloody
Duration: September 21, 2002 - November 12, 2002

I miss Picture Perfect already... *Sigh* Something's wrong with me. I always like the layouts following the previous ones... Maybe I'm too attached... Why did I even change the layout anyway? Well, I'm too lazy to do anything about it now.
Anyway, the way Kenshin Himura (from Rurouni Kenshin) looks does suit WAR quite nicely.

v4. Murderous
Duration: November 13, 2002 - January 4, 2003

Very bold of me to use these colors, ne? It does look murderous to your eyes since the colors are contrasting. Even though BlitzWing and Dyna disagree with me using this, I'm still going ahead with it. If, somehow, this turned out to be a flop and nobody likes it, I'm just going to say, "I'm an artist!"
Isn't Genjo Sanzo from Gensomaden Saiyuki gorgeous? He looks so yummy...

v5. Breaker
Duration: January 5, 2003 - Present

Another gun-slinging character from Gensomaden Saiyuki, Son Goku, graces WAR. Quite a change from bold to mellow colors, ne? I hope this doesn't hurt your eyes as much as the last layout.
Very simple and I love the matching scrollbars... Of course, I prefer Sanzo but I was getting bored with the previous layout. I do have quite a lot of Sanzo images in my HD so I have my share of fill with him.

Everything changes as time goes by. It is important for us to remember the past because it will be our foundation to build our future. Wow, that was so cheesy, I couldn't believe *I* said it... I wonder what that means... Moreover, what's the point of this paragraph anyway? c",)

This concludes the reminiscing part. I hope you enjoyed our walk down memory lane as much as I have *wink*. Ja ne!
