Wufei came from a warrior clan who were exiled from China by the government. He prefers to work alone and his only companion is his Gundam which he calls Nataku (from a Chinese mythological hero).

His line, "You are a weak soldier! I don't kill bleeding hearts or women!" tells a lot of his personality. He can't stand weak soldiers and feels empty inside after facing them. As a chauvinistic pi... person, he thinks that women are not capable fighters.
