Among his first lines were, "You'll all die. Anyone who sees me has got a date with his maker." He earned the name of "God of Death". Duo is a member of the scavenger organization, Sweeper Group, who sent him to Earth through Project Meteor.

Patience is a virtue and Duo is a virtuous man. He even won the trust of the antisocial, Heero Yuy. Among his usual traits are the black wardrobe and the very long braid which you can never get him to cut.
