Killing 1000 demons (who were part of the family that kidnapped his girlfriend) made him into a demon. Hakkai is very kind and usually has a smile for everybody, including his enemies.

Among their group, he is the luckiest and always wins at card games. When it comes to a drinking contest, he is the last one awake. He owns a white dragon, Hakuryu, who can transform into a convertible jeep. He uses energy balls and an energy shield when in combat.
