Introduction To Anime

Fushigi Yuugi:
      Best friends, Miaka and Yui, who are students in high school got transported inside a magical book set in ancient China. Trapped between two warring countries, they have to play out their part and become enemies. This is a race of gathering their Shichiseishis who are destined to protect them, and summoning the god who will grant their wishes.
      Friendship, love, joy, sorrow, encounters and farewells -- this is what the characters will experience. None of them knows what will happen in the end but one thing is for sure, this is the best story of their lives.

Gensomaden Saiyuki:
      Togenkyo used to be a place where humans and demons can live in harmony. Then comes troubled times when the revival of Gyumao (a powerful demon who eats humans) is on its way and the demons are growing rampant.
      In a move to counter this growing unease, heaven assigned Genjo Sanzo to put a stop to Gyumao's revival. Accompanying him in his quest are Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo and Son Goku. They're journeying to the west and on their way are dangerous obstacles they will have to face. It's going to be a bumpy ride...

Gundam Wing:
      The year is After Colony 195, with high expectations, human beings leave Earth to begin a new life in space colonies. Gaining military power, the United Earth Sphere Alliance army known as OZ soon seizes control of one colony after another in the name of justice and peace. Unknown to most of the public, the Alliance is only a puppet for the industrialist group, The Romefeller Foundation.
      Operation Meteor, in a move to counter the Alliance's tyranny, rebel citizens of certain colonies scheme to bring new arsenals, mobile suits called Gundams, to the Earth disguising them as shooting stars. However, the Alliance Headquarters catches on to this operation... Now, the five pilots of the Gundams go to Earth with one mission in mind: Revenge against OZ for destroying the peace in the Colonies.

Hunter X Hunter:
      A Hunter is a profession where one seeks treasures, pursues monsters and wanders lands of mysteries. There are many inconceivable things in the world, and a Hunter is a person who shall find out the reasons and effects, theryby protecting the order of mankind and nature.
      Gon Freecs, discovers that his father, who is the most famous Hunter, is still alive. Set on finding the father he never knew, he takes the first step which is becoming a Hunter. In the Hunter Exam, he meets with Reorio, Kurapika and Killua to begin the chapter that will shape their lives.

Magic Knight Rayearth:
      What seems to be a typical field trip in Tokyo Tower turned into a disaster when three young girls from different schools, Hikaru, Umi and Fuu, discover they were transported in another world, Cephiro. This is where they have to battle monsters and take their place as the legendary Magic Knights to save Emeraude, the princess of this strange land. When almost everyone they meet are trying to kill them, they have to trust each other in order to finish their mission and go back home.

Neon Genesis Evangelion:
      2015, after the First Impact, the remnants of the human race live in fear in subterranean cities. This is a time when a deadly war between mysterious creatures called Angels and what's left of the planet is being waged.
      Protecting the Earth are "Children" found worthy to pilot the bio-mechanical humanoids which NERV invented, Evangelions (EVAs). With a lot of lives at stake, these youngsters will have to dig deeper within themselves to find their courage and strength in order to win this desperate combat for the safety of mankind.

Rurouni Kenshin:
      Hitokiri Battousai earned his name during the Japanese Civil War when he was working as an assassin. As the Meiji Era ended, he vowed never to kill again and the reverse edged sword he is now weilding will be used for good. Wandering across Japan as Kenshin Himura, he came across the Kamiya Dojo which is the setting for the start of a new stage in his life.

Sailor Moon:
      Usagi Tsukino thought she was just another ordinary student until it came to her knowledge that she was Sailor Moon, a heroine with an amazing past which goes back 1000 years. Being the Moon Princess, she has to battle evil forces that followed her in order to save Earth. Together with her Senshis, they form an unbreakable bond which could rival anything, even their most powerful adversaries.

Slam Dunk:
      Hanamichi Sakuragi is unlucky when it comes to girls. Being dumped 50 times in his junior school days, he entered Shohoku High with a heavy feeling in his heart. The depression he was feeling soon is forgotten when he met Haruko Akagi, the girl of his dreams who introduces him to basketball.
      He soon falls in love with the game and calls himself "Genius Basketball Man". With his teammates on his side, Akagi (Haruko's brother), Mitsui, Ryota and Rukawa, they are out to prove that their team is strong and their goal is to be the best in Japan.

Tenchi Muyo:
      Tenchi Masaki was not supposed to visit the old shrine without his grandfather's permission. Guess what he did? Tenchi then finds himself in the company of a friendly "demon" named Ryoko. Soon, his troubles multiply when Ayeka (Juraian princess) appears, followed by Sasami (Ayeka's sister), Ryohki (Ryoko's spaceship/pet), Washu (mad genius), and galaxy policewomen...
      Let's not forget to mention that Tenchi has Juraian blood and he possesses a great power which is critical in the protection of the universe and is desired by different forces. This turns out into a long long story with complicated storylines. It seems like ordinary won't be in Tenchi's vocabulary anymore.

Vision Of Escaflowne:
      The track team practice for Hitomi turns into an adventure when she witnesses a dragon being slayed by Van who magically appeared in front of her. Van accidentally brings Hitomi with him when he returns to where he came from, Gaea. This is a place where the Earth, Mystic Moon as they call it, hang in the sky. Thrown in the middle of Van's battle with a destructive enemy, Zaibach, she joins in his party (consisting of Allen and his crew, Millerna and Merle) and helps him defeat his opponents with the use of her gift - seeing the future.
